The shoulder measurment and the neck drop is very importent whiling applying the style to a gown.If not applied properly the shoulder strap will slip of the shoulder and you will end up with a wardroab malfunction on your hands.

The basic Gown with strapes and full length can be made very attractive by cutting the style in diagonal marking on the fabric ie-cut on bias.The wedding gown is usually cut on bias to give body to the sweep of the gown.

Generally the front and back is cut as a single panal for a simple halter gown.

The measurments for a high-fashion custom-fitted Gown,(Haute couture)is the importent point to remember as the fall anf fit is part of the creative design,While illustrating a design all aspects of the front & back yolk point and the beginning of the waist to the full length fall with layered bottom sweep  has to be sketched in a manner that the client is able to visualise the gown just by looking at the design template drawing.
